The Old Pastorie is situated in the charming village of Darling, in the heart of the wild flower area, and offers beautiful accommodation in a manor house built in 1865.
The historic house is set on 100 acres of a nature reserve with a lake and a variety of wildlife. The four double rooms all have en-suite bathrooms and linen is provided. All rooms are furnished with comfortable queen-size beds and one room has a full en-suite bathroom while the others have showers only. For an extra person, another bed can be added at an additional cost. Each room has a CD player and tea and coffee facilities. All the rooms have lovely garden or lake views.
With the lake nearby, The Old Pastorie is great for birdwatching and guests will see herons, spoonbills, Egyptian geese and many other species that make this their home at different times of the year. Animals are allowed, but with restrictions due to the wildlife. Unfortunately no children under 12 are allowed and the establishment is no smoking. Guests can also cool down in the plunge pool.
For breakfast, 'The Marmalade Cat' in the village is highly recommended. Guests can also visit Evita se Perron and enjoy a show or spend a day at the beach in nearby Yzerfontein and explore the sights and sounds of this delightful town. For those who love history, the Darling Museum is worth a visit. The Old Pastorie is a great location for guests looking for peace and tranquility.
