Tigh-na-BreaghaMcGregor, Western Cape, South Africa Zelf-Zichricht | (POA) |
Tigh-na-Breagha ? meaning House of Beauty in Gaelic - is owned by a South African-Scottish couple. The name was chosen to remember their free-spirited border collie Breagha who came from the Scottish island of Barra, and who would have loved McGregor.
Set in the upper village, next door to a small organic farm, Tigh-na-Breagha (pronounced Ty-na-Breeya) has the feeling of being deep in the countryside, while being close to all village amenities.
The house has a beautiful flow, with the living area and kitchen opening onto a shaded stoep with magnificent views over a much-loved garden, to the Langeberg mountains in the distance. There is also a winter stoep that benefits from the winter sun.
The large, bright kitchen has a La Germania gas range oven and is a wonderful space for cooking. It opens onto a 6-seater dining table and a comfortable lounge with an adobe fireplace. There is a television with OpenView and complimentary WIFI.
The house has 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, dressing area and en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and is alongside a shower room and toilet.
