Welcome to Tonnelkop Self-Catering Units, set in the splendour of the Klein Karoo on South Africa's Garden Route between Oudtshoorn and De Rust.

Each unit has a lounge area with a kitchen; equipped with a stove/oven, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a kettle, a toaster, etc. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are also available.

Linen and towels are supplied for all units. There is also a separate shower and a toilet for each unit. All units have air-conditioning.

The property is well secured with safe parking which is floodlit all night.

There is a free playground with trampoline, swings, see-saw and a slide available for children. We also have a swimming pool area which is fenced in.

Pets are welcome.

Relax and enjoy the bright stars and silence of the Karoo.

We were selected as a semi-finalist in the category Self-Catering Cottages and Chalets by the AA Travel Guides American Express Accommodation Award.

Tonnelkop self-catering by

It was a wonderful and peaceful venue, a break away in the heart of the Little Karoo. The host was very friendly and kind without being obtrusive. The scenery and views from Tonnelkop to the surrounding landscape was very idyllic, with mountains, fields of green and the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. One can sit on the porch and enjoy the sunsets with a glass of wine. The unit inside had all the necessities that a home away from home can provide, the bedrooms were adequately furnished. Lovely communal pool and braai are, safe and secure parking. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Tonnelkop and would recommend it to anyone who wants a real break away holiday venue.
