Tsakane Safari Co have been providing classic and private safari packages for discerning Guests for some twenty-eight years. Our Tsakane Safari Camp is situated in Northern Balule Game Reserve. Accommodation units are individually set in the bush to fan the perimeter of the camp while a cosy bar, conversation boma, splash pool and deck, dining lapa, reading lounge and an open-air traditional dinner boma are centrally set in a beautiful indigenous garden.
A walking safari is a holistic nature experience and perhaps, for some a spiritual one, aimed at exploring how individual species and contributing factors integrate to form a thriving and diverse ecology.
The expectation of encountering big game on foot, the thrill of interpreting tracks and signs of the wild, the personal reflection while perched on a rock watching the sun melting into a crimson horizon, the entertaining folklore around the camp fire and the vulnerability of sleeping surrounded by the night sounds, all contribute to a unique real life experience.

Very pleasant stay by

Most pleasant 3 days we had at Tsakane. Access is easy, the hosts are very friendly, game rangers very knowledgeable and accommodating. The camp is well kept, the units are comfortable and adequately furnished and kept in good state. Every unit and common areas are spotlessly clean. Wild life is abundant and their presence around the camp at night is well "advertised" by their calls. All in all a very pleasant stay. We will be back soon. Maggie and Antero Barreto

This is not a camp where you will see the Big 5. If you are very very lucky, perhaps two of the Big 5. The food was not good except for two evenings - a game potjie and a bush braai. If you want to only rest and walk this camp is OK. The beds are not suitable for couples and they do not give fresh bedding or towels during our four-night stay. The area they cover are too small and they are limited to this with no access to the river, where we could view maybe more game.

Wonderful weekend by

Terry, Adrian, Shaun and Sebastian were amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble...the food was good and the accommodation was very comfortable. We were made to feel at home and as South Africans this was one of our best bush experiences. We will definitely be back!
