Do not stay there! by

The road was one of the roughs I have every traveled on. Having to go in the borrow pit a lot to miss the hole and big rocks. They were not ready for us, still cleaning the room. We did not stay but found better accommodations with out traveling on that road. We will not book there again nor will we recommend the lodge.

Clean rooms by

This was an adequate place to stay - especially if you arrive with a spirit of adventure and are not too fussy. Very CLEAN. Beautiful quality cotton sheets and towels. The rest of the furnishings not great and there are no toilet seats. The staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming but the >12km gravel road is terrible. They were not too keen to cook for us but we had something to eat with us so were ok. Zesa (electricity) was off but they had a generator. Would possibly stay there again (depending on who is with us) but would be far more prepared

ZERO RATING FOR THIS LODGE by

This place has good potential but alas its currently very poorly attended and very poorly managed. The kitchen in the Family Lodge where we were booked is a horror show...its your worst nightmare five times over. The lounge has 3 TV sets none of them works; there are termites in the main bedroom, had to fix the shower in the main bedroom as there was no hot water coming out, there was no cold water in the tub. The lodges are in a farm, the farm workers get up at 4:30am and start yelling and screaming and start their tractors and idle them for 45min then start the noisy process of hooking up the ploughs and implements to the tractors. The entire grounds have tall unmanaged grass..mosquitoes abound. The pictures on the website bear no reflection to the reality on the ground... No wonder we were the only guests there out of all the 10 or so lodges at Xmas time. The workers are very friendly but had to check out early to go elsewhere.
