1. My first room # 9 upon arrival had sand in the bed from the last guest.
2. The shower did not work so I failed to bath.
3. The room was very dirty.
4. Even though I complained about all the above problems the same time upon arrival nothing was done about it. I had to sleep in the same room even though there were other free rooms.
5. Dinner. No fish or sea food available even though you are situated at the famous Cabora Bassa.
6. Next day after requesting a change of room at 05:45 hrs when going out fishing I returned at 11:30 hrs expecting the new room they made me wait till 14:30 hours till they showed me another room. They told me at 14:30 they were waiting for a lady to check out. I asked them what time is checking out time. They said " any time, we don't have any specific time". I told the, on the web site it clearly shows check out time.
7. This room # 10 leaking toilet water all over the floor from the pipe which the maintenance team had wrapped a plastic bag over the pipe to try and seal the leak.
8. No tissue paper or soap was in the room either.
9. After complaining again they made me wait another hour to be shown another room which was in better condition but the airconditioning leaked all over the floor room # 1 .
10. The shower functioned nicely but all the water sprayed onto the. Floor onto the floor into the bedroom and wet the bedding hanging to the floor.
11. My friends room # 7 air con did not work properly. Hot air at times would come out of the machine.
12. The boat man charged us for 75 litres of fuel. After requesting for the used fuel tanks to verify the balances in the tank we were told sorry it was a mistake. 45 litres was the correct amount consumed.
13. When we paid our final bill we requested for a receipt. This receipt was to clearly show what we were paying for meaning accommodation 3 rooms x 2 nights. All drinks and all meals and finally the boat and fuel charges. The lodge management refused saying they will only show accommodation and meals. No clear breakdown.
14. When I requested copies of the papers with calculations they refused that too.
15. When I asked the manager why the lodge is in such condition I was told that the owner does not support the lodge regarding maintenance. Hence the condition of the lodge.
