Umbabala Bush Camp is situated on a 200-hectare private game farm, 40 km from Rustenburg on the N4. It is home to a large variety of wildlife and rare flora, and the reserve is a birders paradise with over 60 species recorded.
The thatched en-suite chalets are complete with a patio and braai facilities, overlooking the natural bushveld vegetation. A larger unit can accommodate two families sharing. Off-road caravans and tents are welcome. The chalets has an open-plan layout, with one double bed and two single beds, a kitchen and a dining area. Bring your own camping chairs.
Enjoy early morning bush walks or experience beautiful sunsets from the lookout point. The bush walks are relaxed as your knowledgeable host will point out flora and animal tracks. 4x4 enthusiasts can try the obstacle course.
Guests can enjoy a braai or make a Potjie at our open-air lapa under the stars. Bring your own bedding and towels, firewood, insect repellent, sunscreen lotion, hiking shoes, backpack for water and other essentials as there is no kiosk.
