Umhambi Lodge is situated in Richards Bay, approximately 170 km from Durban, 70 km from Lake St. Lucia and 100 km from Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park. Accommodation comprises 19 rooms, ranging from Standard to Deluxe, all en-suite with satellite TVs, overhead fans, air-conditioning, hairdryers, towels, and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Eight of the rooms are cosy log cabins and we also offer an Executive Suite, ideal for honeymoons. Internet facilities are available in all the rooms and barbecue and conference facilities are available for up to 40 people. Guests can relax in the beautiful, sunken thatched bar outside or swim in one of the swimming pools. In addition, breakfasts and dinners are served in a lovely outdoor setting overlooking the swimming pool and entertainment area.

Es war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in der Umhambi Lodge in Room 16. Leider hatten wir nur eine Nacht,da wir auf dem Weg nach Nelspruit waren. Wir haben es sehr bedauert, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten. Wenn wir wieder in Richards Bay sind, bleiben für unbedingt für eine Woche. It was a wonderful stay in the Lodge Room Umhambi 16th Unfortunately we had only one night as we were on our way to Nelspruit. We are very sorry that we could not stay longer. When we get back to Richards Bay, stay for a week for sure.

Very Relaxing Stay by

Nice without being flash. Cheap bar, friendly staff & a decent breakfast can be expected. Once the owners cooked supper, it was the best meal I had in Richards Bay. Rooms are cleaned daily & washing is also catered for. Security guards make sure no one comes near the parking lot at night. Also, this was the only lodge I saw in Meerensee which did not seem a bit dingy.
