Underwater Explorers

In the heart of Ponta do Ouro's Campsite, Mozambique, is a little piece of heaven, a slither of gold, formerly known as The Whaler. Operating now as Underwater Explorers.

The accommodation is situated right on the beach. The beauty, view, accessibility and warm family environment, stays the same, catering for divers and friends, alike. With dive centre, accommodation, and easy access to the beach, Underwater Explorers is the place to be in Southern Mozambique.

There is also great surfing, kite-boarding, swimming, snorkeling and lazing on the beach or at Charlie's Bar.

Ocean view rooms have en-suite bathrooms with other rooms sharing communal ablutions, all rooms are serviced on a daily basis and guest can cook breakfasts, lunches or dinners using the communal kitchen on the property meeting other guests staying on the property or have a braai/bbq at the boma located centrally on the property.

Underwater Explorers also offer scuba diving for the enthusiastic scuba-diver and divers can dive the very famous doodle reef with plenty of beautiful ocean creatures like our resident honeycomb moray eels to round ribbontail rays to the Pinnacle reef for shark sightings including hammer-heads, bull-sharks and tiger sharks.
