Vaalium is a beautiful rustic holiday home situated on the banks of the Vaal Dam, about 80 km from Johannesburg.

This self-catering house consists of four bedrooms with built-in cupboards, two full bathrooms, an outside bathroom, an open-plan living area, a games room and a fully equipped kitchen.

There is a covered patio area with built-in braai facilities, incorporating the lovely swimming pool. This property boasts 75m of water front and our guests are welcome to bring their own water related equipment. Depending on the water level, boats can be lauched directly in front of the property.

Vaalium is a great place to stay by

We had a wonderful stay at Vaalium. The place is very serene and private enabling a great time for all adults and kids. The games room makes for a fun active weekend, whilst the outside is great with private view of the dam and nice little pool. We will be back for sure!

Great place for some time out.
The accommodation was excellent,
very neat and tidy and friendly staff to assist us.
The Table Tennis, Pool Table, Dartboard and fishing kept the guys busy.
Will definitely be back.

Very very disappointing. According to me NO STARS AT ALL. We booked in and left after about 2 hours. Did not stay there at all. Garden unkept. No garage for vehicle, very unsafe, off main road, gate to property and fencing in bad condition. Does not feel like being in nature reserve. Security gate not working, chain and padlock being used. How can you swim and rest when you feel so vulnerable. Not my cup of tea. Will have to drive to destinations next time to check before booking.
