This farm has been owned by the family since 1942. Today it is still a sheep farm however, due to its location half-way between Namibia and South Africa, it lends itself to be the ideal stopover for travellers.

Vastrap Guest Farm offers six en-suite rooms with air-conditioning and the rooms are equipped with fans and heaters. Breakfast, dinner and lunch are available on request. Guests can enjoy the large swimming pool and a bar and a braai area are available to guests.

Vastrap Guest Farm also offers day trips around the farm. Something unique at Vastrap is that it is still a fully functional sheep farm and guests are welcome to accompany the farmer on his daily farming activities. 4x4 Drives can also be enjoyed.

A shuttle service to and from Upington and Keetmanshoop are available on request.

Here you will experience the peace and tranquillity of a Namibian farm, and recharge your batteries before resuming your journey.

Often you get to stay at nice establishments, but this is one of the nicest! Very friendly hosts, very clean and equipped rooms, and in a really special environment. 100% Recommended.

Heerlik by

Ons het 'n wonderlike middag en aand gehad by Vastrap. Ons was uitgeput na die lang ry van Henties en is wonderlik verwelkom deur Hettie. Die plek is pragtig en die aande veral moet asemrowend wees om te ervaar. Ongelukkig kon ons net een aand oorbly. Kom definitief weer! Die diens was van hoë gehalte - dankie Hettie en Riaan.

Very spacious unit with everything you need. Finished dated, but clean. Very friendly reception.

Great home made cooking by

Vastrap has everything one needs for a stop over. It is basically in the middle of nowhere and it is amazing what they offer bearing that in mind. Supper and breakfast is great and very good value for money. Rooms are very dates but tidy and neat. Can be very hot, even with aircon running full blast. Hettie is a great host, very friendly and helpful.
