Venus Guesthouse is an old but romantic house that can sleep six people comfortably. The Guesthouse consists of 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, sitting room and wash up area. The main bedroom has a bathroom, made up of a shower, basin and toilet in the room. Room two has two single beds in it and Room three has a double bed.

There is an additional bathroom in the house with a bath, basin and toilet. Bed linen and towels are provided for your convenience.The sitting room has a fireplace where you can snuggle up in winter as well. The large kitchen has all basics, like fridge, freezer, microwave, two plate stove, toaster, kettle and cutlery. In addition to that there is also a built-in braai in the kitchen for those who do not want to brave the cold at the outside braai. There is ample and safe parking off the street on the premises.

Take a tour of through the literacy museum in the house where two famous Afrikaans poets and writer brothers were born or visit the various shops and restaurants in town.

Hiermee wil ek u inkennis stel oor ons verblyf die naweek van 31 Augustus tot 02 September 2018.

Ons was baie ongelukkig:
Toe ons na 2 daar arriveer toe is hulle nog besig om skoon te maak. Inboek tyd is wel 2h?
Daar was niemand om ons te ontvang met inboek tyd nie.
Van die huis se vensters is gebreek. Dit lyk vieslik.
Toe my man bel om te laatweet die televisie werk nie, is daar vir hom gesê
hulle sal nou kom kyk. Teen die tyd wat ons Sondag uitgeboek het ,het niemand nog na die TV kom kyk nie. Hoekom is daar 'n TV as hy nie werk nie?
Die hele stort was onderwater en nat toe ons daar ingeboek het, en selfs die aand was alles nog nat. Kon die skoonmakers nie die vloer droog gemaak het nie nadat hulle skoongemaak het nie,dis tog wat hulle veronderstel as om te doen?
Die bad was vieslik vuil. Wie gaan daar in wil bad?
Een van die kamer se bulbs was geblaas ek moes dit vervang met een van die ander in die huis. Moes die skoonmakers dit nie gecheck het nie?
Ons moes Sondag bel om te vra wat ons met die sleutel moes doen, geen persoonlike kontak gehad nie. In so klein dorp verwag mens om persoonlike kontak te maak.

Vir die diens en toestand wat julle vir ons gebied het behoort ons eintlik ons geld terug te kry. Ons het betaal vir 'n ordentlike huis nie een met stukkende vensters en stukkende TV's nie en wat vuil is nie.

Daar was geen persoonlike kontak soos hierbo genoem uit een van ons voorige e-posse nie. Moet nie iets sê indien julle dit nie bedoel nie.

Hoekom moes ek R1215 betaal as dit R600 per nag is, wat is die ekstra R15 voor?

Ek sal vanaand defnitief my review doen op Safari Now, ek sien julle ander is goed so ek wonder net hoekom is ons so afgeskeep teenoor die ander gaste? Van my en my man se vakansie was julle die grootste teleurstelling, en ons het juis die meeste uitgesien om by julle tuis te gaan. Ek sal julle defnitief nie aanbeveel nie.

Hiermee my kommentaar by elke van jou klagtes. Was die huis, yskaste en beddegoed vuil gewees. Die bad weet ek is vlek en ons het dit alreeds geverf.

Die gastehuis het ons nie geadverteer met ?n TV nie. Dit het eers later bygekom. Die vorige naweek was daar gaste wat die TV uitgestel het en ons kon nog nie iemand kry om dit te kon instel nie. Jannie kon nie kon help nie want die restaurant was te besig en hy is nie ?n deskundige op die gebied nie.

Deeply Disappointed by

They could have better communication with their guest,regarding where to find the keys when arriving , according to the office you are suppose to phone them when arriving ,usually if the guesthouse expect you to phone they should communicate that with you before the time, and they never said where you should leave the key when you check out. Then they could have the house ready in time for their guests . We arrived after 2 and the cleaning staff was still busy,the excuse for this was the previous guest left late, you should make sure the house is ready in time ,its part of the industry. Then the windows in the front of the house was broken ,they could have fixed them before we arrived not after we left only, they didn't even apologize for that. Then the TV was broken we phoned and they said they will send someone, they never did, the owners now say after I send a complaint to them,they don't know how to fix it, and it was broken the weekend before all ready ,the previous guest "het die TV uitgestel" . And that they didn't advertise the unit with a TV , don't add a thing to your accommodation if it is not working. The bath is full of stains, our room floor was wet because the cleaning staff didn't clean the floor after they cleaned the shower. Some of the bulbs aren't working, I mean the cleaning staff are suppose to check this. And they also replied to my complaint if I haven't seen that the fridge ,house and bedding was clean? That is very rude to ask a client that because if you receive a complaint you handle it with respect and try to improve your service for the next guest arriving,that is how the hospitality industry work.
