Vilanculos Beach House

AccommodationVilanculos Beach House is situated in the small coastal town of Vilanculos, in the subtropical province of Inhambane in Mozambique. The house can accommodate up to 16 people, the four free standing ensuite bedrooms sleep eight adults and there is a 5th dorm bedroom for children (sleeps 8 in four bunk beds). All beds have mosquito nets and each bedroom has its own bathroom facilities and a ceiling fan. The house is fully furnished and all bedding & towels are provided (including swimming towels). The main living area has a guest toilet, pantry, large open plan kitchen & living room area overlooking the patio and pool (Note: the pool is uncovered/not fenced). The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer and separate drinks fridge. The stove has an electric oven and gas hob. There is a gas braai for outdoor cooking. Please note that there is no microwave oven. The dining area leads onto a garden with a covered entertainment area and breathtaking views of the ocean. There is good cell phone reception at the lodge. There is also air-conditioning, parking on the premises, and a bar. A security guard and will arrive at the house in the early evening and leaves early in the morning.Domingo cleans, washes dishes, makes beds etc. and takes care of the garden and pool. Generally bed linen is changed once a week. Domingo will help you buy fish from the beach (you will see the fishing boats coming in with their catch) and he will gut & clean fish and calamari for you. Nearby activities include world class sailing, kite surfing, diving, fishing, snorkeling, yacht cruises, walking, canoeing and local restaurants, curio stalls and galleries.
