Villa Azul is located in an exclusive secure estate in the beautiful coastal town of Plettenberg Bay. This is known as the heart of the Garden Route and is perfectly positioned to allow you to explore the unparalleled natural beauty of the area. There are a wide range of activities available, whether you wish to visit the enchanting rain forest, a beautiful blue flag beach or indulge in one of the many local adventures or wildlife experiences. You can see everything from big cats to whales in the area.
The home was designed by an award-winning Australian architect using cutting edge environmentally friendly principals and is rented as single property, giving you exclusive use of the entire villa. There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed with a walk-in dressing room and modern en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. The third bedroom has a king-size bed and direct access to the modern family bathroom.
The self-contained flatlet has a comfortable custom made queen-sized leather sleeper couch, two single beds, en-suite bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette. This space doubles as an entertainment pavilion with large plasma screen, surround sound, DStv, board games and a library.
Villa Azul is an entertainers dream, featuring three separate pavilions, a plunge pool with martini seats, a sunny private central deck and huge front balcony with awe inspiring views of the bay and mountains. The modern Balinese architecture allows for the separation of the internal living and sleeping spaces, which means that you can entertain to your heart's content without disturbing those who wish to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.
There are two modern internal kitchens, fully equipped with top of the range appliances, plus an outdoor kitchen for those who prefer to barbecue under the stars. A number of external living spaces allow you to soak up the year-round sunshine, the beautiful views and the natural surroundings.
The living pavilion features cathedral ceilings and lofty views. The open plan kitchen allows direct access to the large dining room with a ten seated dining table. The lounge allows unobstructed mountain and sea views and has a stunning natural rock fireplace. This pavilion boasts huge sliding doors, allowing fresh ocean air to flow through the home.
Portuguese sailors visiting here in the twelve century named the area Bahia Formosa, or beautiful bay. The blue of the ocean, sky and distant mountains were the motivation for using the Portuguese word Azul, which means blue, when naming the villa.
