Virunga Lodge is a modern lodge perched on a ridge with stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes and the twin lakes Bulera and Ruhonda. The lodge is one of the primary destinations for tracking the endangered mountain gorillas.

The accommodation at the lodge is provided in eight stone-built guest bandas. Each banda has a large bedroom with either twin or double beds, mosquito nets and a stone bathroom. A private veranda overlooks the volcanoes and lakes.

When not relaxing in your private room, spend some time at the main building. It is set on top of a hill and has a comfortable lounge, and large stone terrace with breath-taking views. Relax with a book and unwind beside the central fireplace, and share stories of the days' activities.

Activities are the lodge are abundant and can be arranged on arrival. The highlight is trekking mountain gorillas through the misty Virunga Mountains.
