Whalesong Lodge is a small and intimate guest house perched on top of the rugged De Kelders Cliffs, overlooking the picturesque Walker Bay. Whalesong Lodge is an ideal base to spend a number of days exploring the area. It is a paradise for whale watching, shark cage diving or just leisurely walks along the coast.
The five spacious bedrooms are stylish and offer sea views and small private balconies. The en-suite bathrooms have underfloor heating, separate baths and showers. The comfortable open-plan lounge and dining room leads out onto a wooden deck. There is a cosy fireplace and a good selection of South African red wines. The wooden deck leads to a small swimming pool and guests can also swim at the beach nearby.
A short drive will take you to a number of sandy beaches. De Kelders is in the Overberg region on the Cape southwest coast, only two hours from Cape Town. The quaint fishing village of Gansbaai is world renowned for its great white sharks. With Gansbaai's fishing harbour only minutes away, there is an ample supply of fresh seafood.
