Dinners are around the campfire and traditional South African meals are served in the main lodge. Self-catering group packages are also available. The rates include two game activities with one of our game rangers.
The lodge and all materials used are eco-friendly and completely ?green'. The lodge blends in to the surrounds and has a low impact on the environment; effort has been made to ensure the lodge is sustainable and has a very low carbon footprint. It makes use of solar powered renewable energy and sustainable borehole water with solar supply, enviro-friendly paints and consumables have been used. No hard woods have been used in construction and there is a completely sustainable water supply with an eco-friendly sewerage system.
In addition to the Big 5, there are numerous other species which occur within the reserve. It also offers some of the best rhino and cheetah sightings in Southern Africa. The Wild Ivory Eco Lodge is positioned in one of the ?sweeter' bushveld areas in the western section of the reserve, with an abundance of plains game which will in turn attract the large number of predator species which occur in the reserve.
