Wolwefontein Hotel is one of four remaining railway hotels in South Africa. Owner Marius Herselman took great pride in restoring this historical hotel by adding modern day luxuries, while preserving the history of the 1930's when the hotel was built.Accommodation is provided in 4 Standard Rooms, a Family Room and 5 En Suite rooms . All the rooms have a more rustic historical feel with modern facilities. Some rooms have shared ladies and men's bathrooms. .Come and join the rich history while escaping to the quiet village of Wolwefontein in the Eastern Cape.

We loved the personal touch. The rooms and beds were nice and clean. Food was delicious. The owner went out of his way to make us feel at home. We will stay there again if we pass that way. We enjoyed the "boere" koffee.

Marius (the innkeeper) is a passioned cook. Clear recommendation for a stay in familiar atmosphere. Celebrating typicall home made food.
