NOROTSHAMA RIVER RESORT REVIEWS (78 %) Lovely stay by Jenny Buck, South Africa 17 July 2007 We had a lovely stay at Norotshama. The chalets were comfortable and the shower with the shade cloth so that one could watch the river and the birds while showering was fun. We were well looked after - their breakfast coffee was the best. What I would suggest is a cereal/yoghurt/fruit breakfast for those of us trying to cut down on fats. Their "Namib Kebab" was unrivalled throughout our stay in southern Namibia. Sunsets, stars, sunrises and birds were awesome. and atmosphere. Bad Experience by Ettienne Van Rooyen 28 September 2017 There is no control over the builders who are involved in the renovation project. As early as 06:45 they arrive and talking as if it is in the middle of the day. They start mixer engines, banging equipment that they clean at 07:00? There language is not acceptable.There are regulations governing this and also out of respect for paying visitors you do not start work before 08:00. I am sure our rating will change once the works have been completed? Stayed in the chalet right in front of building works with lots of dust and a bit noisy.? Not good value for money by Helena Jurgens 12 April 2018 We went there for camping. The bathrooms were average and the flies were 1000's. At the reception there is a pond with water - it looks like a dirty farm dam. And the swimming pool was green. They are busy building new chalets and the contractors stay there in tents near the river. We went for fishing near their tents and it was disgusting the smell and the conditions around their tents etc. The bar with aircon was nice. I will not go back there. Sorry. Loved the food. Loved the personel. Just sad that when they had no electricity and water there were no plan B and no manager! Our bungalow was very dark during the day - bit like a cave - & the flies were also a real problem. So the chalet was three star. As I said the location is tops and the new Pub and Restaurant will become renowned but the service levels will need to be upgraded as well and some Management installed!
