Old Oaks Bed & Breakfast is situated in the peaceful village of Cathcart, just off the main N6 highway. This farm style guest house has a variety of rooms to choose from with bed and breakfast as well as a self-catering options.

The main building is home to the double guest rooms and one self-catering family unit. In additional there is also a bachelor unit ideal for contract workers. Guest can stay connected with Wi-Fi, which is available on request. The communal lounge and dining area in the main building is the ideal gathering place. A TV with DStv will ensure that you won't miss the big game. Braai facilities are available on request.

Your hosts will gladly assist with arranging activities during your stay such as horseback riding and 4X4 trails, or visits to the Thomas River Historical Village.

We enjoyed our night. The room was beautiful, the kitchen very adequate for preparing our evening meal and the breakfast was very nice. 

Beyond expectations by

A beautiful and quaint restoration in a lovely little town.

Wendy and James offered an individualised and  thoughtful service. This was a perfect stop over en-route and more than met our expectations.

We wish them much joy and success as they grow the Old Oaks experience.



Simple, but comfortable - and excellent value by

Such good value, such a comfortable night, albeit among old-fashioned furnishings and décor in a rather run-down old town. And an excellent lasagne meal for dinner. All for R750,00 for two - you cannot beat that for a one-night stop-over with on-site parking.
