In the small town of Clarens, near the Golden Gate National Park, a quiet and restful haven awaits you. Ongeag Guest House is a spacious, fully equipped double-storey sandstone house, surrounded by the mountains of Clarens. For nature and hiking enthusiasts, Clarens is the place to get away from busy city life.
Wide balconies integrate the warmth of the house with splendid views of the surrounding scenery, and the house is designed to make the most of natural lighting, with the interior decoration reflecting the calming hues of its surroundings.
The self-catering house offers three well-appointed bedrooms. The large main en-suite bedroom sleeps four people in a queen-size double bed and a double sleeper couch on request. Large windows provide warm natural light, while two balconies afford an uninterrupted scenic view. Features also include underfloor heating and air-conditioning.
The second bedroom has a double bed and is fitted with a sitting and study area for those who like to start the day in reading and contemplation. It also has access to the upper balcony with eastern views of the Rooiberg and the Maluti Mountains. Access to the en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom is through the upstairs passage. This room also features air-conditioning and underfloor heating.
A third en-suite bedroom is situated downstairs and sleeps three people in one double and one single bed. This bedroom has access through cottage pane sliding doors to the lower balcony, and both the bedroom and bathroom feature underfloor heating. A portable single bed is also available and can be set up in any room at a moment's notice.
The kitchen is fully equipped and is open plan to the lounge and dining area with open fireplace, DStv and underfloor heating. In addition, the living area opens through wide sliding door onto the lower balcony.
