The property has two beachfront apartments. The Luxury unit has one bedroom with a queen-size bed as well as a TV with DSTV access. The living area has a comfortable lounge with a bunk bed for additional sleeping space. There is also a well-equipped kitchen for all of your self-catering needs as well as a barbecue in the patio area as well as an under roof barbeque. Couples simply looking for a place to stay for a few days can make use of the Marilyn self-catering unit. It has its own entrance, a queen-size bed and a TV with DStv and Wi-Fi access.

Guests can also enjoy convenient amenities such as a bar fridge, a microwave and a kettle.Guests can spend their days exploring this coastal town by discovering the many beaches and restaurants on offer.

Nature enthusiasts can also visit the Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve. Return to the property from the beach via the private walkway before enjoying a delicious barbecue on a balmy summer evening. Safe parking on premises behind gates. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, rusks and bottle of red or white local wine.

The Marion accommodation at On The Beach was very comfortable. The hosts were most hospitable & helpful without being intrusive.

We stayed in the Marilyn Room at On the Beach and it was beautiful.  Beautiful room, stunning view and lovely beach.  Delia made us feel so at home.  Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful apartment, well equipped, private, close to the sea, clean, tasteful. Really wonderful...apart from it being the only establishment we have visited on extensive travels around the world where we were expected to pay a cleaning fee of more than 10% on arrival! Very shocking, this fee can rather be included in the tariff, resulting in it competing with other, more expensive, accommodation. Hidden costs are bad surprises, despite the pleasant accommodation. Hopefully, the Safari.com rating system starts from high to low, and not from low to high? We would like to rate this establishment highly.

Thank you for complimenting us on our clean, tasteful, well-equipped apartment. I, however, want to respond to your complaint. The cleaning fee is a once-off fee, irrespective if you stay 2 days or 20 days. I can, however, not add it to the daily rate. To find a 95 square metre apartment on beachfront with a private walkway and 2 seats overlooking the ocean, including coffee, tea, snacks, free bottle of wine, full DStv, free WIFI and safe parking, in our beautiful Yzerfontein, for the rate that you have paid per day, will be hard to find.

I needed a place to recharge for a few days and this was the perfect place. My room was so stylishly decorated. It had everything one might need. The beach on your doorstep , falling asleep to waves crashing and my very friendly host...This place is a gem!

Was a great location with access to the surf spot right in front with great facilities for a braai and relaxing on the terrace.
