Oudekloof Guest House is situated in the Prince Albert Game Park. The homestead is surrounded by apricot and plum trees, and it lies just 6 km east of the Karoo town of Prince Albert, with the Swartberg Mountains as the backdrop. Guests will find tranquility and peace at the farm, as well as being able to easily explore the surroundings.
The homestead dates back to 1889 and still has the original Bolinder wood stove in working order, thick walls and the old-fashioned attic. A fully equipped kitchen and braai facilities inside and outside are available. There are five bedrooms in total which can sleep 10 guests comfortably. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and all towels, linen and blankets are provided. We have a free Wi-Fi hotspot and a small farm-gym available.
The farm has a wide variety of animals including gemsbok, kudu, black wildebeest, springbok, ostrich, bontebok, eland, vervet monkey, cape porcupine, mongoose, baboon, scaly anteater, lynx, aardwolf, bat-eared fox, black-backed jackal, otter, small spotted genet, aardvark, grey duiker, steenbok and klipspringer. Other smaller mammals such as the critically endangered riverine rabbit, with probably no more than 200 individuals left in the world, are seen here as well.
The Swartberg Pass and the Cango Caves are in close proximity from the farm for some fun exploring. We offer game drives at the amount of R300ppp 2-3 hours drive, Min. price: R500, max people: 4 and three mountain bike tracks 4.3km, 9.5km and 20.1km in the Game Park. Canoes for hire and star watching equipment are available. If walking, hiking, birdwatching, breathtaking night skies and nature loving are part of your holiday agenda; you will definitely find it at this peaceful farm.
