A television with the Hotel Premium Package DStv channels is available. The lodge also has a spacious lounge where groups like to gather and watch TV. Braai packs are available on request for those who want to enjoy organic Karoo lamb chops and sausage. Kindly note that the lodge is a non-smoking establishment, but smoking areas are provided outside.
Each unit has an ironing board and iron and insect repellent and emergency lamps are provided. Hairdryers are supplied on request and a laundry service is available for stays of three days or more. The entire complex is fenced, well lit and has lock-up parking for each unit.
Carnarvon also serves as the home of MeerKAT, a radio telescope under construction in the Northern Cape in the bid to host the Square Kilometer Array telescope against Australia. At the brick yard, travellers can watch the brick man baking bricks or visit the old Fort, the only one in the region, constructed on Carnarvon Koppie, which also offer beautiful views of the town.
