Outspan Inn

Outspan Inn is situated in the village of Port St Johns on the beautiful Wild Coast. The Wild Coast is famous for its pristine beaches and rugged landscape. Set in tropical gardens, which lead down to the mouth of the Umzimvubu River, Outspan Inn is the ideal destination for holidaymakers, people on business and fishermen.

We have ten en-suite B&B rooms, and 3 two bedroomed fully equipped self catering units. Our two Historical Units, are possibly the oldest buildings in port St Johns. They are made of 'wood and iron', and were imported in kit form from Britain ca. 1900. They have only been slightly modernized, and you can imagine yourself as a pioneer when staying in them.

All rooms and units have DSTV, and we have free Wi-Fi on the premises.

Our grounds are perfect for weddings, and our conference room is air conditioned.

A short walk across the lawns will take you down to First Eeach, 'our beach', and the mouth of the Umzimvubu River. This is not a swimming beach, but it's great for sundowners, walking, building sand castles and swimming. The Bed and Breakfast rooms are comfortably furnished and are all en-suite. The gardens are spacious and child friendly, and the fenced pool is the perfect place to cool off. There is a restaurant on the premises.  Outspan Inn in Port St Johns, because it is centrally situated on the magnificent Wild Coast, is the ideal base for your trip of a life time to enjoy the marvels of the annual Sardine Run. Xhosa and Pondo culture will be on your doorstep, and the Nelson Mandela museum is an hour's drive away.

Outspan Inn is a bird watcher's delight, of the 120 species seen in the Port St Johns area, 120 species have been seen on the premises, including the rare Cape Parrot and Spotted Thrush.
