Over The Mountain Guest Farm is situated in the secluded hamlet of Herold, set along on the famous Route 62. Forming part of the original town of Herold, Over the Mountain brings new meaning to the word relaxation.The old Police Station, Post Office, Welsch House and House of Grace, have been converted into comfortable accommodation units while still retaining the historical feel that is synonymous with the area. There is space for 25 people spread across the three accommodation offerings.Guest will not only be delving deeply into the soul of the stunning surroundings but could also take part in the vibrant cycling, hiking, art and culinary culture that define this picturesque part of the South African landscape.

A Little Disappointed by

We had a double room with a really good quality bed and bedding but only one hand towel, no soap in bath/shower.(There were two bath towels)
No fan. Dinner was very good and the hosts were really nice - BUT a little more is needed to make it worth the cost. Just small things but they are important. TV in the room might be an idea too.

We enjoyed the stay here. There are minor things but nothing hectic. My one thing is making it welcoming, a card or chocolates or warm on arrival, I know we arrived late after car problems. But we got called several times to see that we were safe!!! THANK YOU
