Owl's Roost Apartments is surrounded by typical coastal bush vegetation they have prolific bird life including the Knysna Turaco. The views are exquisite and range from the Brenton Hills over the Lagoon to the Outeniqua Mountains and parts of Knysna. Each apartment has comfortable beds, and private bathrooms. There are kitchenettes, fitted with a two-plate stove, a microwave and a fridge. The lounge areas have TVs with the Premium DStv bouquet, separate radio and DVD CD player complete the audio-visual equipment. Free Wireless or LAN Internet is available in both apartments. The apartments are not serviced but a washing machine and a tumble dryer is available by arrangement. As the house is set on a steep slope, both apartments are not suitable for toddlers and small children.

Great base to explore Knysna from and relax by

From the moment we arrived at Owl`s Roost we felt relaxed and at ease. It is away from any hustle and bustle with a view that is second to none!

The proprietor, Peter was friendly and helpful and helped to get us settled.

The units are well appointed and have everything that you could possibly need for a comfortable stay.

The view from the balcony is a real treat and lots of time was spent simply sitting and looking at the wonderful scenery.

I almost didn`t want to write this review because I would like it to remain the hidden gem that it is, but it would be a tragedy if more people did not get to enjoy it. 

I will definitely be back at Owl`s Roost!


Lovely Stay by

My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay at Owls Roost. We awoke to a beautiful view every day and Peter was most helpful, he gave great ideas about what to do in the guests guide and if we ever needed anything he was always ready to help!

It was a beautiful holiday and I would definitely recommend Owls Roost to other people :)

A charming, peaceful, and relaxing stay! Perfect distance from town and the view is incomparable.

What an awesome view! The host was very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is very comfortable,well stocked and the electric blankets were really appreciated on the cold nights . One suggestion though, the bedcovers were single bed size and a bit on the small side for an adult.

Thank you for your generous review which is much appreciated. We have noted your comments about the bed covers. They are 200mm longer than standard as are the beds to cater for tall people. We'll see what we can do about the width.
