Playa del Mar 4 is a lovely and neat, one and a half bedroom apartment, situated in Manaba Beach. This sub-tropical part of KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, Hibiscus Coast. It lies just south of St Michael's on Sea and Shelly Beach and roughly 6 km north of Ramsgate, another popular seaside town.

The apartment is fully equipped for self-catering purposes and consists of one and a half bedrooms, one shared bathroom, a large enclosed patio that boasts beautiful sea views, a lock-up garage as well as an open parking space. The apartment is secured with a remote-control gate access.

If you are in Manaba Beach, then you are there to swim, sunbathe, fish, kitesurf, paddle, canoe, windsurf, bird watch, play golf and even spot the odd whale. In short, this is a beach holiday destination. During peak season, the coast is very popular because of the easy access to the larger centres of Port Shepstone and Durban.

Margate's swimming beach is a wonderful spot with fishing piers, shops, supermarkets and entertainment. For those days when weather works against you, there are other activities like wild-water rafting and barge trips on the Umzimkulu/Mzimkhulu River. In the same vicinity you can take a coffee tour in Echo Valley that overlooks part of Oribi Gorge.

Enjoyed by

Enjoyed our stay, but there are a couple of things that need attention! Sliding trellidor needs to be looked at as it is difficult to open. A couple of lights were not working when we arrived and we had to replace them. These are small issues, but marred an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Money's worth by

As the rate is very affordable I was pleasantly surprised. It had the most necessities - lovely view and close enough to walk to the beach.
