You may enjoy Port Alfred's sunny weather from our outdoor pool set in tranquil gardens. The Guest House has ample safe and secure parking on site.We offer you the choice of an indulgent full English spread or a light health breakfast. This is available from 8:00 to 9:00am daily. Our dining room has breathtaking views of the bay allowing you to sip your coffee or tea while watching the fishing boats prepare for a day at sea.Portofino Guest House comprises of 11 comfortable rooms. All are en-suite with a shower, toilet and basin. The rooms are equipped with satellite TV for your entertainment and digital safes ensuring the security of your valuables. For convenience each room has a kitchen area complete with microwave, kettle, fridge, sink and tea tray. Suites are available with lounge and dining facilities. Ceiling fans and air conditioners ensure comfort in the summer months. Smoking is not allowed in any of the suites.

Little Italy by

Portofino Hotel is really beautiful and reminded us of Italy. The accommodation was exactly what we needed. The staff were extremely accommodating and pleasant. We will defintely use Portofino Hotel again of staying in Port Alfred

The view by

I loved the pool area, surrounded by the trees and the braai place. To improve the place you can have tables so people can be able to eat at the pool area and also charging plugs and bins. Otherwise the experience was fantastic.

Shabby and in need of repairs by

Sometimes photographs understate an establishment and you are pleasantly surprise when you see the actual product. Portofino guest house is the opposite. Disappointing! My wife and I stayed in room 3. The room was shabby and the shower room condition was unacceptable. The towel rail was broken and left on the floor as was the toilet roll holder. I pointed this out to Nicole, who immediately blamed maintenance, but did not offer to have it repaired. The cold tap for the shower was either on or off with no possibility to regulate the flow. The window in the shower room did not open. The carpet in the ?lounge? was badly marked and in need of a good steam clean or replacement. In the kitchenette, one of the windows did not open. Generally the whole establishment was tatty and in need of a major upgrade.

Disappointed by

Our room was damp and smelled musty and damp and there was no airflow. The linen was old and there were no coffee sachets and only Cremora was available. No breakfast is offered even though it is mentioned on the website. I would not stay there again.

Professional staff, Nyc and lovely Environment by

Gate remote control is needed for the guests, DSTV needs to be installed in the rooms and myb the latest TV screen will make it perfect
