In the middle of South Africa, lies a small town called De Aar. The town is well known for steam trains, springbuck and paragliding records. In this same town you will find FlyDeAar Guesthouse, also known as Potties B&B. This small but busy guest house has nine en-suite rooms, accommodating up to 16 people sharing.

FlyDeAar has a large enclosed garden and braai area. With lush carpet-like green grass surrounding the pool, guests are able to relax and recover from their travels. For your convenience we are also fully licensed and speak English, Afrikaans and German.

We also have secure off-street parking, laundry services, secretary and office facilities, and a small conference facility.

Potties were very friendly. We needed to leave very early, and they made us sandwiches for take away breakfast.

We were made to feel very welcome. The place just had a very pleasant vibe and we really enjoyed our short stay. I can recommend "Fly De Aar Lodge" for good value and a pleasant stay. If you are interested in Paragliding or flying you have to stay here as the hosts are experts.

Your place is great and you accommodated us whenever we needed something.

Not good by

We slept in room number 1 and it was dirty. There is a lot of dust behind the desk in the room and the shower needs a good scrub down. There is also a lot of broken stuff in the room like the asbestos heat panel, the bin is dented, the bathroom cutain is loose, the carpet has not been vacuumed and there was grid on it, the shower drain sieve is loose. I am going to stop. the breakfast was good and the people was friendly.
