We stayed at the Protea Hotel Pelican Bay on a family holiday in December 2016. It was our first time in Namibia and i must say this was a very hospitable hotel. I called the hotel a couple of days before we left South Africa and arranged with Annah for an inter-connecting room, which she did and upon arrival our check-in was smooth.

We had also requested Annah to book activities for us and everything was pre-arranged. On arrival, Annah was not on duty and we got a very warm welcome from her colleague Gorreti (not too sure if i got the name right). She was also very helpful and would always attend to our requests.

I must say most of the activities are in Swakomup but Walvis Bay is about 30km away and the distance is not too bad.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to any travellers going for a holiday to this area. The rooms are reasonably sized and well cleaned. Breakfast has fairly good variety for a hotel of its size.
