Qabe Private SafarisVaalwater, Limpopo, South Africa Lodge | (POA) |
Qabe Private Safaris is located in the beautiful Waterberg Mountains in northern Limpopo. The area is part of the Bushveld district, with beautiful landscapes of the African forest and grasslands.
Qoo-oe means 'Place of gathering' in the Gikwe Bush mantra. That's the purpose of the Qoo-oe Lodge, located in the middle of the Qabe Game Farm. This lodge is an oasis after a long day in the sun and guests can enjoy the boma campfire. There is also a large swimming pool and built-in bar, where guests can admire the grazing antelope.
The Tambotie River, one of the few perennial rivers in the area, originates from the Qabe Game Farm. The farm is almost 3000 hectares and is home to various game species such as the black-and-white pens, nyala, wildebeest, kudu, impalas, waterbuck, zebras, giraffes, moose and several smaller wildlife such as divers, capricorns, impala and bushbuck. There are also predators such as leopards, foxes, baboons and brown hyenas. The farm also has various trees, insects, plants and birdlife.
Accommodation is provided in Rondawels with thatched roofs. Each rondavel has a bath, shower and panoramic view of the waterhole. Delicious meals are served in the dining area and the lodge also has a bar with refreshments.
