The little town of Kokstad sits on the boundary between KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape, nestled in the heart of East Griqualand. The area is popular for its many rivers and dams that provide ample opportunity for trout fishing.

We just had a night stop over there. The staff was very friendly and we had a very good sleep.



Rest Assured that your booking will be handled well and that you will receive friendly service. We enjoyed our stay at this very old building. The room was comfortable. We were given our own key to enter and leave as we please. Pity the booking company did not indicate that breakfast was available. We had to get B.Fast on the way.

We stayed in this guest house on the evening of 2 December as we attended a wedding in Kokstad. We were placed in a dark, dingy, musty smelling room. There were no towels, and when I asked for towels I was told that they were in the washing machine and was given hand towels. I assumed we would find towels in the room after the wedding, but there were none!. There was one light bulb working, pillows were lumpy and the linen was tired and stained. It was not worth the R1000.00 I paid for one night, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
