River Crossing is set on 100 acres of land with magnificent, panoramic views of the lush farmlands of the Champagne Valley, Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle.

We have four villas with stylish, luxurious and romantic décor. Three villas have four bedrooms each and one has two bedrooms, totaling 14 bedrooms; all bedrooms are en-suite. In two of the bedrooms, the bath or shower in the actual bedroom. The villas can be rented as a whole, some as individual rooms and some as one, two bedroom suites; each suite has its own open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchenette. Guests have access to a swimming pool and can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the mountains. Breakfast is available as an optional extra.

Situated in the Central Drakensberg, which forms part of a World Heritage Site, River Crossing is bounded by both the Mtoti and the Sterkspruit rivers. Local, frequently spotted reedbuck and duiker take their refuge in the surrounding riverine vegetation.

Tranquil and serene by

Fantastic location to relax and unwind. The views across the mountains are spectacular. Michelle and Ernest are great hosts and really made us feel so relaxed during our stay. The accommodation is very comfortable and has all amenities you could hope for. The breakfast is fantastic also.

I have just spent a lovely weekend at River Crossing and I was blown away by its beauty and peaceful atmosphere. The service that we received made me feel Welcome and I did not want to leave. I have booked a second stay while still on the first visit to River Crossing. I highly recommend it to all.

Units were neat and well kitted. Really got more than I expected. Certainly a place worth returning to.
