Salela FarmHazyview, Mpumalanga, South Africa Self-catering | (POA) |
Our spacious Loft includes a bedroom, with a double bed; a separate bathroom, with a shower; and an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a dishwasher, stove, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, etc. Linen, including towels, is provided, as is soap and toilet paper. The Loft is located above the main farmhouse, but it has a separate entrance. This ensures your privacy, but the hosts are nearby to assist with any queries/concerns. There is secure parking available.
There is access to Wi-Fi and an information pack has been provided on the various activities and restaurants in the area. The hosts are very happy to provide you with any additional information.
The Loft is located on Salela Farm, a 64-hectare farm on the Sabie River. 8 hectares of the farm have been cultivated, with avocados and litchis, and we have a small herd of sheep to keep the grass down. The remainder of the farm consists of natural forest, which provides habitat for some special bird species (e.g. Narina Trogan, African Finfoot, etc.) as well as small mammals such as the Red Duiker. The farm has 1 kilometer of frontage on the beautiful Sabie River.
For guests wanting to explore the area, Salela is accessible to the Kruger National Park, the Panorama Route, and various activities around the Hazyview area (e.g. rafting, golf, quad-biking, gin tasting, elephant rides, spa treatments, etc.). There are a number of restaurants in the area. Otherwise, guests are welcome to explore the farm, walk along the beautiful Sabie River, swim in the river, have a picnic, bird-watch, etc.
For guests not wanting to eat out, The Loft has a well-equipped kitchen, and pre-made meals can be arranged through the host. Although there is not a separate room for children, extra mattresses can be arranged, at an additional charge. There is a cleaning service available, at extra cost, which includes bed-making, dish-washing, and general cleaning. Please note that the hosts do have dogs. The Loft is accessed via a staircase and is unfortunately not wheelchair friendly.
