Seaside Lodge is situated in the subtropical Dolphin Coast, in the unspoilt seaside village of Salt Rock. We are within walking distance of the tidal pools and pristine beaches.

All rooms are located on the upper floor and open onto a balcony with sea views. The lodge has a combination of tastefully decorated private suites, self-catering units and family suites that offer accommodation tailored to your specific needs.

We had a great weekend. The room was more than ample as a place to sleep. The view from the balcony was stunning. The service was outstanding.

We had a great time, highly recomended, great service and great rooms. Will deffinately stay there again.

The place is run down & not maintained. Completely overstated on the booking site Couldn't open two windows as the frames were broken. Air con non functional Hot water doesn't run properly for the bath - just trickles out Kitchen not open for included breakfast at 7am Rooms are not clean. Must say a very disappointing experience!!

Thank you for the review, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to have you stay with us again.

With regards to the gate, we had unfortunately, been hit by a bad storm. This affected the motor of our gate and blew out 4 of our tv's and decoders, we were able to replace the tv's and decoders but have had to wait for a new motor to be delivered for our gate.

Our guests security and comfort is of paramount importance.

Stay at Seaside Lodge by

Seaside Lodge was disappointing as accommodation The Lodge is old, tired and in dire need of renovation and revamp. None of the overhead lights worked in either of the 2 bedrooms or the lounge. Lighting in the bedroom consisted of one bedside lamp and the was nothing in the lounge. When we asked if the globes could be replaced we were told that they didn't work. In the main bedroom the cupboard cannot be opened because of the size of the bed. We had to store our clothes in the second bedroom. The kitchen is inadequately equipped and what is available is old and tired. All in all a disappointing experience.

The position of the house is perfect for a great view of surrounding tropical lush vegetation and an angle to the sea. For the single occupancy rooms the sea view is masked by tall vegetation on the side. This could easily be trimmed for a better view even from a sitting position. My biggest gripe was the lack of adequate access to the internet!! Very deceptive advertising in this regard. Very very limited access in most of the building other than right in the front. Not practical!

Thank you for the detailed feedback and the positive rating. We are in the process of upgrading our WiFi as we realize that the connection is sometimes weak. We currently have housed in the lower part of the building for security reasons. We regularly trim back our vegetation and will definitely keep a closer eye on that.
