There is abundant sea life in Sty Helena bay is due to the Benguela tides which causes a rich ocean life. Snoek is directly sold from the boats in winter and causes for a lively harbour.

The Piketberg Mountains offers amazing views and the beaches are great for an energising swim or beach-combing. In season St Helena Bay is a popular destination for whale watching.
