Shakama Private Game Lodge is situated in the southern range of the Waterberg Mountains, approximately 28km north of the town of Bela-Bela and 1,5 hours from Pretoria.

The 1200ha reserve has three accommodation options from the original Shakama lodge, now know as Mountain Lodge, which is ideally suited for company break-aways or larger groups wishing to have all the catering done for them. Valley lodge can accommodate up to 18 guests on a sharing basis and requires a minimum of eight guests per booking.

The Eagles Camp consists of two split level units and is perfectly suited for smaller groups wishing to have a bush breakaway. This camp is solely self-catering and can accommodate up to seven guests sharing.

The newest lodge is Valley Lodge which is ideal for families or groups of friends looking for a place to get away. This luxury self-catering lodge consists of nine rooms and can accommodate up to 18 guests. Although it is a self-catering lodge, a private chef or catering can be arranged by prior notice.

Fantastic stay!!! "Respect" is the most friendly staff member and so proud of his work. "Big man" improvised spectacular dishes - boma braai was amazing. Thank you Sean and your Shakama lodge team for an enjoyable stay - we will be back.
