Shalom Lodge is situated in Kroonstad and within easy walking distance of shopping centres, a golf course, tennis courts, bowling greens, commercial banks and churches. The lodge was originally built as a hotel for many years and was converted into a guest house during 2003.

We offer 15 comfortable en-suite Guest Rooms with double or single beds, TVs, tea and coffee facilities, braai facilities, a swimming pool and safe parking on the premises.

Kroonstad is situated on the banks of the Vals River. An area categorised by a rich diversity of flora and open spaces makes Kroonstad very attractive.

Halfway between Johannesburg and Bloemfontein Bettie's Luxury Lodge is a great rest stop for travellers.

The Lodge is NOT a "self catering" facility by

I think advertising Shalom Lodge as a "self catering" facility is misleading because the units have no facilities for preparing own meals. Please remove the facility from "self catering" group.

The following went wrong with my visit to Shalom Lodge:1) There was no one at reception when we got there. We had to wait for 10 minutes before someone showed up. His communication skills were very limited.2) The photos on the website must have been taken more than a decade ago or was significantly photoshopped. The whole place looks run down and questionable.3) The pool looks like it has not been attended to in months.4) One of the 2 rooms that we booked had not even had the toilet flushed.This place is so dodgy that we did not even ask for our money back. We just left and booked another place.

Shalom Stay by

Very old lodge but homely, we enjoyed ourselves. Excellent cleaning staff and care. Would like to see a ramp in the future for disabled people.
