SheShe Baharini Beach Hotel

Sheshe Baharini means, a beautiful place by the sea and has been a family's private retreat since the 1970s. Known locally as The Castle because of its striking architecture, the original building was set amongst acres of lush tropical gardens, lapped by the azure waters of the Indian Ocean.

Today, Sheshe Baharini is a small, intimate hotel with a focus on luxury and 5-Star service. The accommodation features elements of Moorish, Portuguese and African design, reflecting the rich and unique history of the Kenyan coast.

There is a crystal clear pool situated in the centre of the gardens where guests can laze in the water while watching the ocean and laughing at the antics of our resident tribe of Vervet monkeys. There is a cocktail lounge on the roof terrace, two well-stocked bars and a pizzeria with an Italian wood-fired pizza oven. Sheshe boasts a beautiful alfresco restaurant with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.

All the food is prepared in house by the skilled chefs using the freshest ingredients, always locally sourced where possible.
