Somerset Lodge is set in a gorgeous English country garden against a backdrop of magnificent mountains, and offers luxury accommodation at affordable prices. Our swimming pool, situated in its own secret garden, invites guests to relax and unwind, and is the perfect antidote to city stress.

We are situated a mere two minutes' walk from the Montagu Nature Garden, and our garden is visited by a large variety of bird species. Our rooms are tastefully decorated with every conceivable home comfort, and our linen is of the finest 100% cotton percale.

All our garden rooms are en-suite, equipped with selected DStv, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, a welcome tray with tea and coffee, and bar fridge. All rooms have private entrances and patios with braai facilities.

Just a guest house? You can compare with a 4 Star hotel. Perfect.

Great accommodation by

Somerset Lodge is a charming place to stay. Very clean with lovely white linen on the bed and a modern bathroom. I like the fact that you have an outside sitting area which is private to your room.

Pleasant but wouldn't go back by

Bed was comfortable, pillows not comfortable.

Room and bathroom smelt quite strongly of chemical cleaning agents.

The 360 degree virtual tour pictures on the website are very deceiving for the size of the rooms and the pool. Everything is a lot smaller.

There are residential dogs that live in the BnB that bark and are noisy in the morning so if you're wanting to sleep in or have absolute peace on your holiday, this is not a great place to stay.

Safe and clean though, very close to shops and main road etc.

No window in the bathroom, would have been nice.
