Sperrgebiet Lodge is situated on a farm a few kilometres outside of Springbok in the stunning Namaqualand.

The lodge comprises of four separate thatched units, which all feature en-suite bathrooms with showers only, DStv, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi Internet access and braai facilities. Sperrgebiet also offers guests credit card facilities and secure parking on the premises.

Attractions in and around Springbok include the Goegap Nature Reserve, the Hester Malan Flower Garden and the Namaqua National Park.

We had the pleasure of staying here for a night recently. The whole experience was superb - each hut is kitted out with pretty much everything you could want (including a nice 'welcome kit' of toiletries (lotion, body wash, shampoo)) and an efficient heating/cooling system. The setting here is great, with the property being far away enough from Springbok that you are surrounded by absolute peace, but yet close enough that it takes only 10-15 min to get into town for dinner. The desert like scenery is great, and to top it off there is a 5km bike trail on the property!! Would recommend this property to anyone wanting quality accommodation in a stunning setting!!! PS. Loved the two dogs as well!!

We have planned to stay only for 3 nights but on our way back home decided to stay another 2 days! Marelese organised a 4x4 trip through the Sperrgebiet and a guided 3 hour rowing on the Orange River! The chalet was well equipped and we enjoyed the absolute quietness on the farm.
