Wonderful stay! by

We were warmly welcomed and felt very much at home. Our hosts were very friendly. I will definitely spend my next holiday there. My wife, daughters and younger sister loved the place and my two year old son referred to our host, Cees as his friend, within two days of being at the guest house. Now that is something as he rarely takes to strangers!

Friendly and homely atmosphere.

SABENA ! by

In responseto my stay at ?Spindrift' in Walvis Bay, I believe I should inform you myobservations:

1.    My first impressions of Cees, the owner, was of someone who wasmore interested in settling me in my abode in order to get on with his day thanexhibiting any form of real welcome. Having trained as a hotelier in a 50Starestablishment, I was left feeling like a piece of merchandise rather than awelcome guest!

2.    With respect, I had been informed on Saturday morning that Iwould be living ?across the road' in the flats, but not that the flat was wellaway from Spindrift.

3.    I had not been informed that the flat was a communal flat with 3separate bedroom and  common living area.

4.    The gentleman also in the flat was unaware of my having moved inuntil well after dark and to his great consternation, finding someone openingthe front door.

5.    The rooms while neat and tidy, are best described as beingsparsely furnished ? two single beds, two pedestals, an adequate built-inwardrobe and a slatted suitcase rack.

6.    No provision exists in the form of a dressing table or desk atwhich to work. Working downstairs in the common area is not possible due tothis being used by the other tenant as well. Sitting on the edge of the bed wasalso not conducive to constructive work.

7.    The wi-fi on offer is best described as per the signal quality ??Poor? is as it is defined on the laptop! Certainly not conducive to on-linework connectivity which was not possible.

8.    The bathroom is adequate, but less translucent toilet paper withperforations ? maybe even double-ply ? might be nice.

9.    I believe the blurb on your website is inaccurate.

10.  In this day & age of business travel, of which I do aconsiderable amount, hauling shampoo along with one is unheard of ? certainlyamongst the menfolk. A little bottle of shampoo would really be a nice touch.

Simply put,the impression of what I had of Spindrift is best summed up by using theanagram of the former Belgian airline ? SABENA! Such a bloody experience, neveragain!
