Springgrove cottages are located 38 km from Chrissiesmeer towards Lothair on a private timber farm. The plantations supply the perfect backdrop for the two guest cottages overlooking the dam. Each cottage sleeps six people and is ideal for a peaceful family retreat.

Each of the two guest cottages consist of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The comfortable lounge has a welcome fireplace for the cold winter days and a full DStv bouquet. The lounge and kitchen area is open-plan which leads out onto the veranda area.

The cottages overlook a dam where one can catch the occasional bass, with only the bird calls disturbing the silence. Springgrove farm has never-ending vistas of trees, lakes and even boasts some San/Bushmen rock paintings which form part of the Grootvlei natural heritage site.

Wonderful quiet stay by

A beautiful house with a hill top view on a fairly large dam a fireplace and electric blankets. It was all an more than what we expected will go back for sure.

What a gem!! by

We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation.  Everything you need and more.  Clean, tidy and luxurious beds, warm blankets, fire wood for cold evenings, dstv, lovely views of the dam, lovely mountain bike roads.  Friendly staff to make you feel welcome and at home.  Will definitely go back.

Countryside supreme by

The endless trails to walk and total comfort with amazing views and wildlife. One of our best stays in a long, long time. Amazing. Will be back in winter to enjoy that massive fireplace again ;)

Peace and quiet by

Directions given by the manager were spot on. We arrived in the dark and woke up to a misty lakeside wonderland and were then treated to a visit from the local Serval breakfasting on a hare. Accommodations were clean and tidy and the fireplace was really appreciated with the daytime high of 7 degrees.
