Starry Nights Guest House is situated in the lovely town of Nieu Bethesda, and is perfectly situated for guests to enjoy dramatic sunsets and the many moods of the iconic Compassberg mountain and surrounds.
The guest house offers four self-catering units with verandas and braai areas opening onto the lovely garden. Units 1 and 2 each have an open-plan kitchen that is equipped with a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a stove, a small fridge, and cutlery and crockery, as well as a bathroom with a shower only. Unit 1 is furnished with a queen-size and a single bed, with an extra bed available on request. Unit 2 is furnished with two twin beds and two single beds. Sleeper couches are available on request for both units.
The Annexe is situated next to Unit 1 and can be hired with Unit 1 or separately. The Annexe is furnished with twin beds and is equipped with a fridge. It also shares a veranda with Unit 1. The Tower has two levels, with a king-size bed in the upstairs room and a single bed in the downstairs room.
Starry Nights Guest House has a large garden with uninterrupted views of the Compassberg and the valley to the north of Nieu Bethesda. The garden is a birders' paradise with a variety of Karoo species nesting in the trees and bushes. At night, guest can indulge in the starry skies above while enjoying a braai with friends and family.
The lovely guest house is within walking distance of galleries, shops and The Owl House. It is the perfect base from which to explore the village. Your hosts, David and Bronwen Langmead, have in-depth knowledge of Nieu Bethesda and surrounds, and will happily assist with planning hiking or cycling routes. Day trips to Graaff-Reinet and the Valley of Desolation or Cradock and the Mountain Zebra National Park are easy options and located within driving distance.
