Each chalet has its own private balcony and secure parking bay; and a TV with selected DStv channels. The lake and surrounding area, as well as the wetlands surrounding it, teems with hippos, crocodiles and many other wild animals. Birds include fish eagles, hornbills, goliath herons, paddle-billed storks, green pigeons, loeries, narina and trogons to name a few. It is probably South Africa's best bird-viewing area with over 520 identified species here. Unspoilt beaches stretch for many hundreds of kilometres. Cape Vidal offers excellent snorkelling and protected swimming.
