The affordable flatlet (part of old converted house but non sharing facilities) is located in the main street on the lake side, away from town noise but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Set in a relaxing tranquil garden with large trees and lots of plants we offer this sunny budget type unit. The flatlet has own entrance, no sharing, with 6 steps to the only door as the building is elevated. This is a unique type unit due to building restrictions. It is very well equipped, neat and tidy. Furniture and fittings are a mix of old and new, handmade. Plastered brick walls, tiled floors and carpeted bedroom. One small bathroom with shower toilet and basin. This unit has one large bedroom with double bed and 2 single bunker beds, wall closet and basin. Open plan kitchen dining lounge area. All opening windows and doors have insect netting. Next to swimming pool with scattered view of lake. Communal path between braai and door. Own braai and garden furniture. Television with DSTV Easyview Free channels (bring own decoder +card). Parking is on site under roof cover at car port. Once daily cleaning service is included. Ceiling fan in bedroom and lounge plus extra pedestal fan.We provide bath towels, kitchen towel and swab, dish liquid and sponge and coffee plunger all cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and pots pans, clothes line and pegs, toaster, kettle, microwave and stove with oven and fridge and coffee plunger. The laid back garden attracts an abundance of birds and is regularly visited by Vervet monkey, Banded mongoose, squirrels and sometime hippo grazing at night. Enjoy the sunset view (especially in winter) or relax under the tree on a lounger.This location is ideal for birders, nature lovers and serious eco-tourists/enthusiasts. Owner family lives on site and gives lots of info on arrival. NOT for parties, groups couples sharing, fishermen (no bait storage facility) or smokers please.

It was good and quite. The people were friendly.

Work and relax by

I had to write a report to the organisation I work for and fortunately the wi-fi worked most of the time. Besides room no. 5 has exactly what we were looking for with a nice garden just outside the door. Good value for the money. We will definitely come back.

The quietness and privacy in beautiful nature by

The kindness of the owner - any request was attended to. We enjoyed to be at the quiet end of St Lucia with direct access to hiking paths and nature.

Spacious and homey by

It was great to stay in such a well-sized flatlet at such a great price. The expansive cupboards, daily cleaning, ceiling fans, full-sized fridge, swimming pool, and helpful hosts all made it comfortable and enjoyable. Since the flatlet is so near the edge of town and near the estuary, we enjoyed visits from a flock of guinea-fowl, a squirrel, a bush baby, and enjoyed the sounds of hippo and hornbill.

Our flatlet was very clean and spacious. Thank you Imelda and your family for always being on hand to assist with whatever we need. You were all so amazing, your dad an your husband especially when my car battery went dead. All of you were amazing despite the water and power difficulties experienced by the town, you always made a plan. My family and I will definitely return!
