We now offer four options, the original farmstead has spacious rooms with wooden floors, leather couches and antiques which sets the tone for this "Out of Africa" house whilst the second, more modern "Upcycled Green Cottage" is all about recycling and basic comforts in a newly renovated rustic style.

STONEPEAK MOUNTAIN LODGE REVIEWS (88 %) weekend away by Tony Lachman, South Africa 27 June 2016 Situated in a beautiful setting just above Grabouw, with fenced in large property giveing our two Aussies a heavenly time. Whilst we never met our hosts, Aylex and Lance, they were always accessible and very helpful, assisting in getting the much appreciated firewood as the stone cottage tended to be very cold, typical f South African homes in winter.The beds were however very cosy and warm and heaters were provided.
The house is well appointed and comfortable with all amenities and games available.
It proximity to the gardens and vineyards in Elgin is a true plus
Rustic and peaceful by Neal Bresler, South Africa 25 July 2016 We have a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the Western Cape. Our host we helpful, accommodating and not intrusive. Gorgeous venue by Barbara Hurwitz 07 August 2018 Gorgeous old house with original wood flooring and stone walls. Lovely fireplace warms the whole lounge although take plenty of wood as we went through about two bags a day.
Extremely well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Large main bedroom and bathroom.
The garden is a real secret garden for dogs, they had a ball disappearing under one tree and reappearing from behind another bush, we spent most of our time in the garden. So many beautiful plants and flowers, it's so enjoyable to walk amongst them. There is lots to do around the area but we so enjoyed walking around the garden with our dogs and playing boules, backgammon, chess, reading, etc. we didn't move for the whole long weekend.
We didn't miss the tv or wifi at all and can honestly say we were thoroughly refreshed after our short break.
