Studio 28 is a comfortable establishment situated in the lovely village of Clarens, in the Eastern Free State Highlands. Clarens is centrally situated and easily accessible. Whether you wish to discover this beautiful region or simply relax, Studio 28 is the ideal venue for your stay. Home to many artists, Clarens offers a number of art galleries and shops, and there are numerous pubs and restaurants only a few minutes away.

With the option of either self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation, Studio 28 can accommodate up to four guests in two separate units. Each unit contains a choice of either two single beds or a king-size bed, and the kitchenettes are well-equipped with a fridge, hob, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery, and kitchen utensils.

The units each feature a TV with selected DStv channels and there are also barbecue facilities on the patios of each unit. Heaters, electric blankets, duvets and extra blankets are provided for the chilly months, as Clarens can get very cold. In addition, the apartments are fully serviced and secure under cover parking is also provided.

Nice and comfortable, feel a bit uncomfortable with the vehicle not being close to the cottage. Expected a better barbeque facility not just a portable braai, however, the accomodation had everything else that you could need. Not suitable for a longer stay than 2 nights for self catering.

This self-catering unit is equipped with all the essentials you need for your stay. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Studio 28 and would recommend it for anyone who wants to break away for the weekend. Thanks Valarie for your hospitality and making our stay at Studio 28 a memorable one.



The stay at Studio 28 was very nice. It is a clean and noce place. Valarie, the owner is a very helpfull and friendly person. However: I booked the place Thursday through Safari now and paid the also paid the deposit. When we arrived on Saterday Valarie from Studio 28 didnt expected us because Safari now didnt inform her that the booking was excepted and the deposit was paid. She said this wasn't the first time this happend. Luckily Clarens wasn't that busy and she did have place avalible.

Pleasant base in Clarens by

On the edge of Clarens but still within walking distance of centre: great base for us as family were nearby. Pleasant room, large comfortable bed and plenty of heating for winter evenings. Basic kitchen, tea, coffee supplies and toiletries. Bathroom was cold in winter and shower fiddly to adjust but plenty of hot water. Towels provided and room cleaned daily. Outside area for warmer months.
