SUNSET MANOR REVIEWS (32 %) Lynn Mansfield, South Africa 06 October 2014 Generally we were very disappointed with our brief stay at Sunset Manor. The bed linen was too small for the bed, the bath was roughly patched with some form of filler. The shower floor, walls and curtain were so dirty that we could not make use of it. In fact my wife refused to use either the bath or shower. The gutters were falling down and the shade cover over our balcony was non existent. We were only provided with a one small cake of soap and no shampoo. This is the first stay at a B&B that we have had such a bad experience. The family room we stayed in was a far cry form the pictures on the website, the small room's paint is peeling, the cupboard dated form ancient times, the extra blankets not up to industry standards, its outdated and the curtains seem to be hanging on a rod that can dismount from the wall at any minute, the curtains itself had a few hooks missing, making look very untidy , the fridge in the room is of very very poor quality, they neglected to change our towels after use, we had to use the same bath towels since Friday upon arrival and Sunday morning we still had no fresh towels. The wooden balcony poses a huge risk as the wood is dried out of from the sun and could potentially collapse . To crown it all ,, this booking did not include breakfast and this was not indicated when the booking was made, we were charged R 100 extra for breakfast resulting in us having to go to the city centre to have breakfast there. The family room also has a shower which is not in a very appealing state . There were no complimentary soap , shower gel or hand lotion as per the industry standard. This place has huge potential and is situated in probably the best spot , however very poorly maintained.
